Privacy Policy

The plain-English summary
We collect the minimum needed to answer you and do the work: what you
type into our form, basic anonymous site statistics, and — for clients —
the business information needed to build your site. We never sell your
data, we never see your card number (Stripe handles payment), and if you
email us asking to delete your info, we delete it.
01 What we collect
- Audit-request form: business name, neighborhood, your name, and a phone number or email — only what you type in.
- Client information: if you hire us, the content needed for your website (business details, photos, menus, hours) and billing status from our payment processor.
- Site analytics: aggregate, privacy-respecting usage statistics (page views, general region, device type). We do not run advertising trackers or sell behavioral data. Our site does not use tracking cookies.
- Email: messages you send us, retained like ordinary business correspondence.
02 How we use it
- To respond to your audit request and communicate with you;
- To deliver contracted services (building and maintaining your site, managing your business's public listings at your direction, producing reports);
- To improve our website and service;
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Ever.
03 Who touches the data (processors)
| Provider | Purpose |
| Stripe | Payment processing — card details go directly to Stripe; we never receive them |
| Vercel | Website hosting and anonymous analytics |
| FormSubmit | Delivers audit-form submissions to our email |
| Google / GitHub / email providers | Business email, document storage, code hosting |
Each processor handles data under its own privacy policy and security
practices. We share only what each needs to perform its function, and we
may disclose information if required by law.
04 Retention & your choices
- Audit-request data: kept while relevant to a potential or active engagement, then deleted in routine cleanups.
- Client records: kept for the engagement plus what tax and accounting law requires.
- Your rights: email liamrieber@gmail.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We honor requests promptly unless law requires retention.
05 Security, children & scope
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and
least-access practices. No internet transmission is 100% secure, and we
cannot warranty absolute security. Our services are for businesses and are
not directed to children under 13; we do not knowingly collect their data.
This policy covers 5thdraft.com and our services; websites we build for
clients are operated by those clients under their own policies.
06 Changes & contact
Updates to this policy will be posted at 5thdraft.com/privacy with a new
effective date. Questions or requests:
liamrieber@gmail.com, or by mail
on request.
